β Be a part of training and working with our Media Girls Team of Girl Scouts.
β Write, copyedit, and prepare original content for uploading to the website in collaboration with the Graphics & Digital Content Specialist.
β Evaluate and refresh dynamic digital content with a focus on embedding principles of diversity and inclusion, to meet the needs of current and prospective council stakeholders.
β Show creativity and documented immersion in social media. Write, prepare, and schedule social media content for a variety of social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok for the council and its camps, in collaboration with the Graphics & Digital Content Specialist under the supervision of the Director of Marketing & Communications.
β Maintain a council-wide social media calendar and implement it using a management platform such as Meta, Hootsuite, or Sprout Social.
β Photo document/live stream council events, as requested.
β Other duties assigned as needed, supporting organizational initiatives and council-wide programs, activities, public relations, and fund development endeavors.
ASSUMPTION: This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, proofreading, and editing skills. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe Create Suite, and other web, email, social media, and CRM platforms. Basic knowledge of Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud is preferred, with advanced knowledge being a plus.
Education: Bachelorβs Degree in marketing/communications preferred, or equivalent experience.
