β During emergencies, establish a public relations area to assure that the release of information is accurate and within the scope of our established policies governing the release of information during emergency conditions.
β Assist department directors in the planning, conducting, and scheduling of in service training classes, on the job training and orientation programs concerning the facilityβs marketing and public relations programs and activities.
β Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the facility.
β Follow established ergonomics policies and procedures governing lifting techniques, repetitive tasks, and the use of safety equipment and supplies to prevent work related injuries and illnesses.
β Prepare a departmental operating budget for approval by the Administrator and allocate the resources to carry out programs and activities of the facility.
β Serve on various committees of the facility as directed by the Administrator.
β Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information.
β Report known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure of such information.
β Interpret resident rights to the resident, family, and staff personnel as necessary or appropriate.
