ASSUMPTION: This role requires a balance of hands-on SEO expertise, strategic thinking, and team leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in SEO and experience managing teams.
β Maintain an excellent overview of current SEO campaigns and work closely with colleagues to optimize client strategies
β Deliver hands-on recommendations and improvements to SEO campaigns independently
β Make key decisions around prioritization, particularly with regards to outreach for off-page clients
β Provide strategic, practical support to other service lines, notably Digital PR, to help clients achieve their organic goals
β Create periodic/end-of-project reports with key insights relating to clientsβ KPIs and overall business goals
β Lead client calls, attend face-to-face meetings, and provide client-facing support to colleagues
β Build and maintain long-lasting client relationships and ensure expectations are always met or exceeded
β Understand the needs of clients and develop unique propositions based on these insights, with a strong understanding of commercial positioning and internal costs
β Join pitch calls as an expert voice on SEO and identify revenue gaps in terms of client projects vs. revenue potential and client deadlines/expectations
β Keep a keen eye on current processes and workflows, proactively suggesting ways to streamline operations to cut out as much inefficiency as possible
β Identify potential upselling, cross-selling, and new service opportunities, proactively bringing these to the attention of the Market Growth team and ICS focus groups, validating their feasibility, and implementing them where required with the support of Heads of Department
β Assist the Marketing Director and Market Growth team to compile case studies based on account successes
β Continuously look to further own knowledge through independent learning, attending industry-specific courses and events, and highlighting relevant training opportunities with managers
β Run weekly team meetings without requiring support from the Head of SEO
β Maintain a strong awareness of current skills within the wider team and provide training on strategic tasks across SEO and other channels to nurture and develop the teamβs skillset
β Be responsible for mentoring junior colleagues to be able to independently complete strategy tasks such as keyword research, as required
ASSUMPTION: This role requires a high level of autonomy and the ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for success in this position.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
Experience: Proven experience (5-10 years) in SEO, with a strong background in technical, on-page, and off-page SEO, as well as content production

Salary Range: Β£45,500 - Β£49,500 (depending on experience)
